It's been a loooooong time coming, but I finally wrote up a FAQ to keep linked up on the Taiji Project profile. Keep in mind that this is subject to change.

Massively long, so click here to readCollapse )

Got a question that wasn't answered here? Ask away in a comment, and I'll either answer you directly or add it to the FAQ (or both)!

you are really amazing... translating all those episodes... for ten months!

Ooh, I like reading FAQs. ^_^ [which ... says something about how I'd rather choose to spend my time. Especially since I should've been studying for a test...] And yours was quite entertaining. I bring you much luffs and hearts; thank you SO MUCH for all the effort you put into this series translating it so other people can enjoy the show as well. And your subs always brighten my day. For instance, I'm off to bomb two tests today, probably. ;; [I blame Arashi on Utaban for Valentine's Day that I somehow ended up watching four times last night] But as today is Tuesday, I have high spirits knowing that I'll be able to drown my sorrows in ... some DnA episode which I've forgotten from the last episode's preview, but I'm sure will be absolutely wonderful.

Wow. I just rambled for way too long and contributed absolutely nothing useful to these comments. ;;

Blah, who needs that education stuff when there's so much Arashi to be watched, anyway? :3

Hope the tests went ok, though ^^ And thanks for reading! ♥

Wow I'm feeling total love for you right now! You're one person and on top of your own personal life your fansubbing our requests too! THANKS!
Mar. 4th, 2008 05:57 pm (UTC)
Oh my gosh, you are so great and kind and nice and I want to thank you for everything you are doing! I really envy you because you can speak japanese...
thank you for all what you have done so far and for everything in the future!
Mar. 4th, 2008 08:59 pm (UTC)
Becky!!! I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say, WE LOVE YOU!

Thank you so much for putting your time into doing this and feeding our addition every week ;) (What would I do without you?!)

p.s You said you liked D no Arashi...am wondering if you are into Arashi too...? maybe? maybe not?
hehehe its okay if you don't want to answer.

Yeah, I would call myself an Arashi fan... I just don't know much about their music XD;; Mostly into their TV shows, movies, dramas, and overall personalities and talents. Some of their songs have grown on me over time, though. :3

Sugoi, ne?!? Thanks so much for your dedication of time and effort in subbing the vids for us underlings who love Arashi but just don't know what the heck they're saying. :) Watching RAWS are great and still funny, but the words definitely add to it.

It's too bad that Kitagawa doesn't see YouTube as a marketing tool. If it weren't for YouTube and Arashi being there, I would never have gotten in to them and started purchasing their discs and DVDs. (Don't worry. I agree w/ your rules and wanting to remain safe.)

Thanks again!

Mar. 5th, 2008 03:33 am (UTC)
Yeah, that's true... I never would've gotten into Arashi without Youtube either, and I'm sure plenty of other international fans would say the same. I don't even get his logic at all in trying to "protect" his bands from having their free, televised-only, never-marketed videos available to stream... *boggles*

Ah well... thanks for reading, and for the input :D
Mar. 5th, 2008 12:49 am (UTC)
Wow, I just. I had no idea that you actually translated everything already and then did all the subbing and stuff and, not to mention, taking 10 months to translate them all. I am absolutely blown away.

Just, really, thank you so much for taking the time and effort to do all of this. You're amazing!

PS: Do you have anything planned for after D no Arashi? :D?
Mar. 5th, 2008 03:34 am (UTC)
As a matter of fact, I do have another series in mind to start subbing when DnA is done... :D *whistles*

W-w-wow!! You already have them ALL translated?! That's amazing!! Really I'm psyched to have found another Ohioan in all of this Arashi fandom. XDDD

Thanks for all of your wonderful subs!! I'm really thankful for everything you've done. 117 episodes all done by yourself must be a huge feat!

Keep up the great work!! <3
Mar. 5th, 2008 03:37 am (UTC)
:D Power to the land of the corn! It amazes me too, every time I hear from another Ohioan joining up here...

Thanks for reading, and for all the support ^__^

once again, i can never thank you enough for all your hard work Becky!!! The first thing I do once I come home from work/school is go straight to your LJ on Tuesdays/Fridays for DnA and Rowing Club :D

I hope you will continue subbing Arashi's shows, esp. G no Arashi since only few of the episodes have been subbed and/or Sho's movie Kisarazu Cat's Eye: World Series since it hasn't been picked up by a fansubs group yet (i think) ^^;;

But I know you're backed up with requests, but please consider subbing those if possible!! ^^
Mar. 5th, 2008 03:40 am (UTC)
I've had quite a few requests for G no Arashi, so it will definitely be in the works as soon as D no Arashi spares me the time :D And I'll definitely consider the movie too! *adds to request list*

Great FAQs! I wish I could learn Japanese now, but being in law school I don't know where I'd find the time. But you're doing an awesome job with the subs. And I was wondering about the name, so thanks for clearing that up. Many many many thank you's for all the great work!
Mar. 5th, 2008 12:17 pm (UTC)
